Later today, Binance will launch its new platform within the revamped Wallet – Binance Alpha, a new pre-listing token selection tool that will enhance the exchange’s transparency in the process of listing new tokens.

Official notes revealed that the new platform’s launch will be followed by the launch of the first five tokens on the platform. Binance revealed that 5 more tokens will be announced on December 19 and another bath of 5 tokens, on December 20.

While there hasn’t been an official announcement about the first 5 tokens token, some rumors containing misleading information confused users. Here’s what happened.

Binance Alpha – Token Launch Confusion, Clarified

Users on X discussed some misleading information regarding the token launch on Binance Alpha earlier today.

It seems that Binance Chinese Gold V’s official X account tweeted information including a Telegram channel that mentioned the alleged five tokens to be launched today, according to Colin Wu.

A user on X called DeFlow Intern revealed that this Telegram channel called “binance_web3_wallet-community” posted the Binance Alpha watchlist tokens and major media outlets picked up the news, pumping the tokens’ prices.

According to the same user who also shared a print screen from the Telegram channel, the tokens mentioned there were the following:

• WiseMonkey (MONKY)
• Happy Cat (HAPPY)
• Rifampicin (RIF)
• Zircuit (ZRC)
• ai16zeliza (ELIZA)

However, when Crypto.ro checked out this channel, all we could see was that it was empty, with no posts and it was created today. The channel has 1,322 subscribers and our conclusion is that it’s not Binance’s official channel on Telegram.

If the post revealed above was actually made in this Telegram channel, it might have been deleted.

DeFlow Intern said that Binance officials clarified that this was a posting error in Telegram, but this information lacks credibility, as the channel is now empty and no officials’ statements are present.

The confusion came from Binance Chinese Gold V’s X account as the staff probably sent the wrong TG channel link, according to Colin Wu’s post.

On the other hand, the real Binance Wallet Community Telegram channel did offer information about today’s Binance Alpha launch.

Binance Wallet Community Offers Hints About Today’s Token Launch

The official Telegram channel has over 12,500 members and early in the morning, announced that there are a few more hours left until the Binance Alpha launch.

They also revealed that the new batch of 5 tokens will include the following:

• 3 tokens on BNB Chain
• 1 token on Solana
• 1 token on Base

Binance Alpha was announced yesterday by Binance and presented as a gateway for new crypto projects that have growing potential in the Web3 ecosystem.
