California Legislator Champions Pro-Bitcoin Legislation

Chen’s office is teaming up with Proof of Workforce, a Santa Monica-based non-profit, with the purpose of educating workers, unions, pensions, and municipalities about Bitcoin. The objective is to craft pro-Bitcoin legislation to be considered in an upcoming legislative session and to work on projects that would incorporate Bitcoin into public policy.

Proof of Workforce, headed by its founder, Dom Bei, will work with Chen’s policy team to develop education-focused projects and community outreach. The partnership will research how Bitcoin can be utilized to help build infrastructure and revitalize communities throughout California.
