Trump’s Inauguration Sees OBT Token Launch and KuCoin Listing

  • Orbiter Finance donates 10 ETH to Trump’s token, promising ongoing support.
  • Orbiter’s OBT governance token launches with 40% allocated for airdrops.
  • KuCoin lists OBT token for trading on January 20, 2025, with USDT pairing and withdrawals.

Orbiter Finance, a cross-chain protocol based on Ethereum, has announced its support for Donald Trump’s inauguration speech through a notable sponsorship.

This initiative comes on the heels of the protocol’s Token Generation Event (TGE) and the release of its governance token, OBT. Orbiter has committed to further backing Trump’s initiatives with ongoing contributions throughout his presidency.

On January 20, 2025, the day of Trump’s presidential inauguration, Orbiter Finance donated 10 ETH—worth approximately $33,607—to a smart contract wallet associated with Trump’s World Liberty Financial token.

The donation leveraged Orbiter’s OmniChain exchange protocol, which facilitates seamless cross-chain transactions. With plans to continue its contributions, Orbiter’s involvement underscores its interest in the evolving crypto landscape.

The donation by Orbiter is part of a broader show of support from the crypto sector for Trump’s inaugural fund. Prominent firms like Coinbase, Kraken, and Circle, the issuer of the USDC stablecoin, each donated $1 million. Robinhood, known for its growing presence in the crypto market, contributed $2 million.

OBT Governance Token Launch and Airdrop Plans

Orbiter Finance marked the day of Trump’s inauguration with the launch of its governance token, OBT. The project has allocated 40% of the total OBT supply for community airdrops.

Of this allocation, 22% will go to users who have engaged with Orbiter’s cross-chain services for at least 60 days. The remaining 3% will be distributed monthly over six months to encourage long-term participation within the Orbiter ecosystem.

OBT Listing on KuCoin Spot Exchange

To further boost OBT’s adoption, Orbiter has partnered with KuCoin to list the token on its spot platform starting January 20, 2025.
